a couple of cheats for Elite.

1. To always get Thargons in hyperspace: Pause the game ('copy'), press 'X'
and then unpause. Now hyperspace as normal, but hold down the 'ctrl' key
during the countdown. If you don't hold down 'ctrl', you will hyperspace as
normal. You only need to do the pause-X-unpause bit once.

2. To speed up the game (sort of). Pause. Press 'X', unpause. Now press the
'Data on System' function key (F6?). If you roll left and right, you can
see that the game is going much faster than normal. However, if you switch
back to any other view (F0 etc), the game runs at it's normal speed. This
is sometimes useful when you've jumped as close as you can to a planet and
have to wait for the station to come in range.
